Uglyduckly Ceramics are all handmade, and each piece has its own little soul.

The shapes and materials shift from time to time…I’m constantly inspired by the world around me: nature, feelings, and the magic of rediscovering old things in new ways.

Clay is my grounding element…it’s how I stay connected to the earth in my everyday life.

My studio is in Hamburg-Billbrook, an industrial area that’s surprisingly green and the Elbe River just around the corner.

I’ve also been growing a small garden paradise there over the years.
